A daily shutdown routine (and why it works)
A short end-of-day ritual: park unfinished work, reflect if you want, and set tomorrow’s priorities.
Why days blur together
Without a deliberate close, unfinished threads follow you into dinner — and tomorrow opens already tired. A shutdown isn’t hustle. It’s a boundary: the day had a shape, and you’re allowed to leave it.
The five-minute close
Park unfinished work. Glance at the log — what actually happened. Optionally write a private note for yourself. Choose a short list for tomorrow. Three priorities is enough to start with focus; more becomes another anxious inventory.
Protect the private page
Reflection is for you. Keep a private lane separate from anything you might share. Tools help when they encode the ritual so you don’t rely on a sticky note you’ll ignore when you’re depleted.
